Call to Register for the 15th NASeA/ANMA Joint Convention 2019 and Become a Member of Nepalese Association in Southeast America (NASeA) by July 3, 2019

NASeA’s election for the Board of Directors and Officers will be held on September 01, 2019 during the 15thNASeA/ANMA Joint Convention at Winston-Salem, NC.

As per the Para 7 ARTICLE IX, bylaws of NASeA, only those individuals who are members of NASeA by the midnight of July 3, 2019 would be eligible to contest or vote in the election.

Only following members of NASeA are eligible to contest or vote in this election.
(a) Attendees at the 2018 Nepali National Convention Chicago, IL during August 31- September 2, 2018 with payment of the full registration fees.
(b) Valid annual member of NASeA.
(c) Life members of NASeA.

Anyone registering with Full package for upcoming convention by July 3, 2019 would be immediately granted membership of NASeA with no additional membership fees.

This includes:
(a) Full Package for life member
(b) Adult Registration
(c) Student Registration
(d) Athletes Registration

The Election Committee strongly encourages all individuals who are not currently members of NASeA to register for the convention and become members of NASeA by July 3, 2019 and participate as a voters or contestants in election.

Anyone registering for the convention after July 3, 2019 would not be eligible to contest or vote in the election – 2019.

VERY IMPORTANT NASeA ELECTION TIMELINE for TERM 2019-2021.

Year:2019, Time Zone: Eastern Standard Time (EST, Washington DC)

July 01:General call to all interested members to consider nomination of their candidacy for various open posts in NASeA to serve for the 2019-2021 term.

July 03:Deadline to register to be eligible voters. Only members who register at or before midnight (2359 PM) or have post-marked dates (if mailing) will be considered eligible for further verification. Anyone registering after this deadline can participate in all other conference activities but will not be able to contest or vote in this election.

July 10:Current NASeA Executive Committee will provide eligible voters list to Election Commission.

July 15:Publishing the verified voters list in NASeA website.

July 22:Deadline for correction if any: Voters can verify their eligibility status from website and can communicate with Election Commission via email if they have any question regarding their eligibility. Individual must provide their Full Name, Address, DOB and Contact Phone so that the commission can contact them if further details are required.

July 26:Publishing the Final Voters list (after making correction if any) in the NASeA website.

July 29:Deadline for candidacy filing: Candidates can file their nomination following the appropriate eligibility criteria for interested posts using ONLY the downloadable or fillable forms that will be posted in the NASeA website by this deadline.

August 05:Withdrawal deadline for Candidates from the post they have filled.

August 07:Publishing the final candidates list.

September 01: Election Day. Each and every voter is required to produce appropriate Photo ID or other forms of document with his/her photo to verify voter’s identity. Anybody can be denied voting if they do not produce such documents to onsite verification team. Election time notice will be published separately later.

All official communications with Election Commission including sending of verification list, filing of candidacy and questions must be via: electionnasea@gmail.com

Election Commissioners will not receive any phone call from anyone with any personal favors or support relating this election matters. We are fully unbiased and sovereign body. As per the applicable bylaws and regulations, election Commission will conduct all the election procedures with fair, neutral, transparent and democratically. We will respond to emails in timely manner.
